Medium Gray had its World Premiere on Friday, January 2, 2004 at the 500-seat Victoria Theatre in San Francisco. Those in attendance included cast and crew, from executive producer Linda Gregorio and writer/director Brian Schirmer to stars Danny Siudara and Candace Younghans.

On January 25, 2004, Medium Gray served as the Closing Night film at the First Annual Freedom Cinema Festival, running concurrent with the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
